A B O U T M EI've been dabbling with HTML for quite some time, and every now and then I set up a little site for fun. These sites are usually
about gaming as that's what I enjoy best. This webspace is dedicated to Twisted, my beloved EverquestII guild. M Y T O O N SEumenides Equanimity - Wood Elf Monk/Tailor |
N O M O R E P A T R O N S !You read that right! SOE has finally done away with patrons and given each and every one of us the ability to help our guild out with levels at any time! You guys can't imagine what a relief this is to those of us who have been trying to keep track of who is a patron, who isn't, who wants to be and who hasn't earned any status recently. Whew, it's done! Now a lot of us are veterans to the whole earning status for guild exp thing, but some of you are not. There are a few ways in which you can contribute to guild exp by earning status. The first, and most common would be City tasks (aka writs). Each city has four factions, one each for priest mages scouts and fighters. Each faction has a specific NPC per tier (ie lvl 10-20 would be tier 2 writs, 30-40 tier 3 etc etc) that will give out city tasks. These tasks are quests similar every other quest. Caretaker Nogfizzle might ask you to go out and beat up on 15 scarecrow for instance. The difference between city tasks and regular quests is that these tasks reward you personal status. A portion of that status is then added to guild experience. Easy peasy huh? There are faction rewards involved as well. If you do oodles and oodles of tasks for one specific faction and make them love you lots, you will be granted special prefix titles, and the ability to purchase special items only available through those factions. Another way of gaining personal status and guild experience would be heritage quests. You can find all of the known heritage quest walkthroughs at OGAMING The newest method of earning status would be status items. These are pretty common drops off mobs, I know you have all seen them. You know you have a status item when you examine it and it says "A powerful guild of ___ might know what to do with this." These items are sold to NPC merchants for status instead of coin. The very same NPCs that you get writs from will buy these items. Below are lists of the Faction NPCs for each city, and where they will send you for writs.
